Frequently asked questions
How often should I get a pest control treatment?
Ideally, twice a year. But some only do it once a year and that’s fine
Is it safe for pets and children?
Upon application it is best to leave the house because if the child/ren or pets are to ingest it while wet, they can become ill. Once the chemical is dry, it is safe.
What happens if it is raining?
The chemical is mixed with water at a particular ratio. During light rain, the chemical ratio is adjusted to suit the conditions and can go ahead as normal. In heavy rain, the procedure will be rescheduled for a time that suits both the technician and the client.
How long does the treatment take to complete?
Usually 30-60 minutes depending on the size of the residence.
Can I stay while you are completing the treatment?
Yes, the chemical does not have a strong odour. However, if you have younger children or pets, it is best to leave the house until the chemical dries. Once the chemical is dry, it is safe for children and pets.
How long does it take to dry?
On a nice, hot day. It shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours to dry.
Does the chemical stain my carpet/rugs?
No, the chemical does not leave any visible residue once dry.
How do I prepare for the treatment?
Clear any clutter around the house. Sweep/vacuum and mop prior to the treatment so that chemical is undisturbed for a few days before mopping again.
